Joining with Hope International, several Optivest employees visited the Dominican Republic to see firsthand the impact of ‘using what’s in their hands’ to help lift those who are underserved by providing biblically based training along side a savings services and loan program. Mark Van Mourick (Optivest, Inc.) and Warren Allan (Optivest Properties) were joined by employees, Tami Warner and Scott Warren for the three day trip in October. Hope International invests in the dreams of underserved families in the Dominican Republic as well as 16 other countries. Their strategy is aimed to restore dignity and break the cycle of poverty by providing seed financing, training and accountability for micro enterprises. The Optivest Foundation is providing funds to work toward this goal.
