Leslie Calhoun, Lindsay Jennings and Kristy Allan represented the Optivest Foundation and The Freedom Climb with women from all over the globe in Colorado, July 12-18, 2014 to summit 7 mountains over 14,000 feet in elevation in 4 days. They were fortunate to have among their women-only group 7 from India, 13 from Canada, 1 from Africa, 1 from Moldova and 47 from the US. Climbing such peaks as Torreys/Grays Peak, Quandary Peak, Mt. Elbert and Lincoln/Democrat/Bross mountains, these women did so in a symbolic gesture of the climb for freedom for women and children around the world caught in human trafficking. As a part of Operation Mobilization, the Freedom Climb raises awareness of this global epidemic. Funds are raised to assist women and children through rescue, training centers, emotional and spiritual support.
